How to configure WindowsXP with PPPOE for
CaribServe.NET Wireless ADSL

The instructions provided below are for customers who wish to utilize the built in PPPOE client of WindowsXP with our new Wireless ADSL Service on the Motorola Canopy™ platform. If the CaribServe.NET antenna installed on your residence / business looks like the picture on the right, then the instructions below will assist you in configuring your router for use on our network. If your antenna is one of the older Cirronet WaveBolt units, the instructions below does not apply to you!

If you are running a version of Windows other than Windows XP or if you connect to the Internet through a router please contact our office for assistance in properly configuring your connection. Our office can be reached by phone from Monday through Fridays 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. The phone number is 5424233.

  1. Click your Start-button. Click Control Panel.

  2. If your Control Panel is in Classic View click the icon called Network Connections. Otherwise, click the icon called Network and Internet Connections, followed by the icon called Network Connections.

  3. Click menu File, click menu New Connection. This will start the New Connection Wizard. Click the button Next.

  1. Select the option Connect to the Internet and click the button Next.

 

  1. Select the option called Set up my connection manually and click the button Next.

  1. Select the option called Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and a password and click the button Next.

  1. Enter the ISP Name CaribServe.NET Wireless ADSL and click the button Next.

  1. Enter your CaribServe.NET username and password and click the button Next. Note that both are case-sensitive!

  1. In the last step of the Wizard, select the option called Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click the button Finish.

  1. That’s it! To connect to the Internet you can simply double-click the new CaribServe.NET ADSL icon on your desktop and click the button Connect.
